Where your courses take place

Courses in this program are offered at several Arizona State University locations across the Valley. Each site provides convenient access, parking options, and proximity to local amenities. Review the details below to find directions and information for your selected course location.

Please Note: Valley Metro has a program called Ride Choice that allows people over 65 or with disabilities to take a cab, Uber, or Lyft, for a mere $3 for up to 8 miles. See valleymetro.org/accessibility/ridechoice for more information and to see if your community participates.

Academy 2026

ASU's Mesa MIX

Dr. Bille Enz’s course, “Understanding and Maintaining Memory,” will be taught at ASU’s MIX (Media and Immersive Experience), located at 50 N. Centennial Way in Mesa. There is ample free parking in the adjoining lot and on the surrounding streets.

This campus is also just a few blocks north of Mesa’s Light Rail Main Street Station.

ASU's Health Futures Center

Dr. Danny Kneer’s course “Complex Crime Solving” will be taught at ASU’s Health Futures Center, located on the Mayo campus at 6161 E. Mayo Boulevard. This beautiful new building sits a few hundred yards east/northeast of the Hospital. Parking is free in the enormous lot directly adjacent to the building.

ASU's Downtown Phoenix Campus

Dean Myles Lynk’s course "Law vs. Disorder" will be taught at ASU’s Phoenix (Downtown) Campus, located at 411 Central Avenue. Course participants will have their parking validated for the University Center Garage,  which is about a 1 to 3-minute walk to most campus buildings.

The Light Rail ASU Phoenix Campus Station also sits at the edge of campus along Central Avenue, with  a walking time of about 2–5 minutes to most buildings.  

ASU's Chandler Innovation Center

Dr. Shirley Rose’s  course “Writing Life Transitions” will be taught at ASU’s Chandler Innovation Center, located at 249 E. Chicago Street in downtown Chandler. Parking is free both on the street and in the lot directly adjacent to the building.

Tempe Campus


Two courses will be taught on the Tempe campus, but both buildings are extremely easy to find, and parking will be validated. Those who prefer not to drive on the Tempe campus may also be grateful to learn that numerous public transportation options exist, which are listed below.

ASU's Mirabella

Dr. Richard Jacob’s  course “The Higgs, Quarks and the Big Bang” will be taught at ASU’s beautiful Mirabella facility, conveniently  located at 65 E. University Drive, at the corner of University and Mill. Parking will be validated for both the Myrtle Street and  Mill Avenue garages directly adjacent to Mirabella, and please click here to see an interactive searchable campus map which will give you their locations.

Mirabella is also about a 2 to 4-minute walk  from the Ninth Street/Mill Light Rail Station, where the Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter Orbit routes also stop.

The Tempe Streetcar Mill Ave/3rd St Station  is also about a 5 to 7-minute walk. 

ASU's Historic Old Main

Dr. Stephen Siek’s  course “The Golden Age of Film Music,” will be taught in ASU’s historic Old Main, the oldest building on the Tempe campus, and the current headquarters of the Emeritus College. Old Main sits in the heart of ASU’s historic Tyler Mall, and parking will be validated for the Fulton Center Garage, which is directly across the street from the Mall  on University Drive. Old Main is also about a 5 to 7-minute walk  from the Veterans Way/College Avenue Light Rail Station (also called the Tempe Transportation Center stop).

The closest Orbit stop is College Avenue & University Drive, which is serviced by Earth, Jupiter, and Mars, and is about a 3 to 5-minute walk.

The Tempe Streetcar Mill Ave/3rd St Station is also about a 6 to 8-minute walk.
